She has continuously sought out respected and innovative teachers and trained in the styles of Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Anusara, Yoga Tune Up, MELT Hand and Foot, Restorative, AYfit, Partner and Acro Yoga. Laura's teaching is augmented by her continued studies in anatomy and physiology, exercise physiology, energy work, and other therapeutic modalities.

Laura has completed teacher trainings, workshops and immersions with teachers of note such as Beryl Bender Birch, David Swenson, Nancy Gilgoff, David Williams, John Friend, Noah Maze, Sianna Sherman, Annie Carpenter, Bryan Kest, Bo Forbes, Roger Cole, Jason Nemer, and the list goes on.

Laura's teaching is detailed, precise and firmly grounded in anatomical awareness. As a teacher she is observant, openhearted and accessible. Her classes foster exploration and self-discovery in a safe and progressive way.

Laura has taught for more than 10,000 hours over the past 16 years and is especially skillful at devising and prescribing yoga programs for therapeutic challenges. She has helped students regain mobility after injuries and surgeries and her teachings have helped to manage chronic conditions such as inflammatory bowel disease, fibromyalgia, bursitis, and MS. She enjoys adapting classes to the needs of the student.

Laura is based in San Diego where she provides workshops, group and private classes. In addition to teaching her own classes, she serves as an adjunct teacher and mentor in the UC San Diego yoga teacher training program and co-developed and facilitated a campus wide Yoga and Body Image wellness program.

When she's not teaching yoga Laura can be found teaching communities about waste reduction techniques such as composting, recycling and reuse.
